This is a very detail report to mention the Sadler Scholarship Fund. I will pass this report to our Keiheepers in Vancouver during our lunch gathering on Dec 7th. We will celebrate our mother school's 50th Anniversary and I will do my best to collect fund to support this scholarship fund at the same time.

It¡¦s good to have an opportunity to say thanks to Kei Heep and share the days in and after my study at Kei Heep.

Well, I have grown up in a very poor family but my parent were very happy about my apprentice training as a technician after the study at Kei Heep Modern School.

Indeed, I know what I was in the past is assigned by God and therefore I treasure very much what God sent me in Kei Heep and built up relationship with School and you, KeiHeepers particular Chan Kuen, Chris Tai, Kervin Lee, Cheng Ho-choi, Huen Chi-wai, Chow Kwok-choi and those class-mates studying together in the metal-work and wood-work classes.

Thank to Kei Heep particular Principal Sadler, Lily Hsu and those teachers on that days.

Lawrence CP Lo (1965 Class) Sept. 12, 2013 1:11pm

Dear Raymond:

You were not the lonely one as there were many of us who did not continue further schooling while some advanced to F.4 in other schools. The only difference was that those who finished at F.3 earned two extra years of income as in many cases it had not affected their future success.

For many students, the three years school was all they could afford at that time.

To go against the trend was a brave undertaking. Keiheep was never traditional. It was probably the first junior high school to introduce the rotating class room system that students were moving to other class rooms (as in universities) instead of teachers going to different class rooms.

The class subject was very practical. Those who enrolled in the typing class truly appreciate the skill gained from those years today in the internet era. The metal workshop, wood working and fashion design were all practical skills that had been put to good use.

Ex-Principal Yung once told me that Keiheep had built a reputation in teaching the toughest students from the bottom of the class. These students may not excel in academic subjects but they can grow to be responsible citizens and need the most help.

Lawrence
